Newsflash

9 September 2009 - I was able to use the Epilog laser cutter at Lajes AFB to cut the Saab radio delete plate with the openings for the Xenarc LCD monitor.  See more under Mods -> In-Dash Monitor.

Welcome to the Saab 9-5x Site!

This site is designed to showcase the enhancements I've developed for my Saab 9-5 automobile that others can do.  I'm not an automotive engineer and don't have access to industrial equipment so most of these projects can be done by any owner.  A couple, like the Bluetooth Interface Module, are a bit more advanced.  I began developing these mods while I was stationed in Krakow, Poland.  Currently, I'm stationed in Ponta Delgada, The Azores.

The car is a 2000 Saab SE V6.  It has the 3.0L V6 gasoline (or as they say in Europe - petrol) engine with automatic transmission.  It includes options such as the 9 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo system, heated and ventilated front seats, tow package and sunroof.  It is Scarabe Green with the tan leather interior.
